Nonostante le macerie (Despite the Rubble) is a site-specific choreographic project that takes shape anew in response to each place it encounters. The choreography arises from the interplay between precise compositional writing and the particular qualities, forces and interferences present within the space.

The bodies allow themselves to be traversed by the existential, ethical and social “rubble” of the present, embodying an oscillatory movement. Oscillation becomes a metaphor for the search for balance within a condition of imbalance and uncertainty.

The work sets a practice of presence, listening and relationship against the consumer-driven speed of the contemporary world. In its vulnerability and permeability, the physical body becomes an activator of a political body, capable of reactivating places and imaginaries.
