Andavamo tutti: Amina Amici’s Creative Process within Aspettando Selve

There is a moment, in every creative process, when the work stops being “a project” and becomes something like a landscape. Not yet a performance, not yet a defined form. Rather, a passage. It is from there that one can begin to tell the story of Andavamo tutti by Amina Amici, within the precious time of the Aspettando Selve series, curated by Associazione Intelfade.
A past tense that keeps moving
Andavamo tutti (“we were all going”) is a title that already contains a direction. A past tense, yet open. It holds within it a shared movement that continues to resonate in the present. Amina’s work emerges from an encounter with the writing of Giancarlo Majorino and carries with it a radical question: what does “everyone” truly mean? Not as an abstract category, but as a plural body, as living matter made of different ages, stories, trajectories.
In the project, this plurality seeks to be embodied. Four performers move through the same space together, without evident hierarchies. Gesture is built in relation, in deviation, in the possibility of never fully coinciding.
There is something deeply political — yet without slogans — in the way the work insists on the collective. An idea of community that is fragile, unstable, never resolved.
The time of residency
Within Aspettando Selve, the series curated by Intelfade, the creation finds a space to remain — a device of thought and waiting that creates the conditions for something to emerge.
Residencies thus become places of productive suspension — in the most fertile sense of the term.Time that is not immediately performative, yet necessary. Time in which the material can contradict itself, disperse, reassemble in dialogue with new landscapes.
In this context, Amina’s work seems to find a natural habitat: an ecosystem that does not demand definition, but depth.
Next working stages for Andavamo tutti:
April 28 – May 3, 2026: residency at CASA LUFT, Turin
June 11 – 20, 2026: residency at Komm Tanz, Rovereto
