The face of cities is in constant transformation. The geometries of public spaces change, and with them the ways in which they are inhabited. The inhabitants change, and forms of interaction multiply. Places evolve rapidly, people change, and so do the ways of moving, relating, and living within space.

What is each of our perceptions of our own body and of the body of others in space? How does a space influence the way an individual exists within it, and how can the ways of being, inhabiting, and living a place be improved? How can an urban environment become sustainable and accessible?

A movement-based workshop was offered to a group of 60 young people aged 15 to 28, aimed at reinventing everyday gestures and developing a new grammar of the “body in relation,” in which the concept of citizenship could find both meaning and expression. The study of photographs taken by the participants in urban spaces further stimulated and enriched the research process.

The project culminated in a public artistic event in the form of a flash mob, held in Piazza San Carlo in Turin.

INTOFRAME rethinks the contemporary city starting from the places and the people who inhabit them, with the goal of enhancing quality of life through a smart city perspective, where accessibility and sustainability are fundamental pillars.
