In response to the mandate of the Italian Ministry of Culture (MiC) regarding activities connected to trampolino residencies, Lavanderia a Vapore, the residency centre of the Piedmont Region, has developed a new open and dynamic framework conceived as an effective scouting tool, in dialogue with local dance schools.

For the 2021/2022 season, this initiative is carried out within the broader project Swans Never Die, through the collaboration of the four Piedmont-based dance production organizations supported by the Ministry of Culture: Balletto Teatro di Torino, Codeduomo, Zerogrammi, and Fondazione Egri per la Danza.

This collaboration gives rise to a highly professional training pathway which, by accompanying the companies’ production activities throughout the season, offers young dancers—selected through an audition process—the opportunity to engage with different and complementary poetics and artistic visions surrounding the complex work of creation. Through this experience, participants acquire and refine the tools that form the foundation of the profession of the performer.
