STILL

Still emerges from a research process dedicated to the invisible persistence of images and to the body’s capacity to preserve memory. The project interweaves archival audiovisual materials, performative presence, soundscape and light-based devices within constantly evolving installation and performance environments.

Materials drawn from the archives of Superottimisti are reactivated not as documents to be preserved, but as sensitive traces capable of generating new possibilities for listening and connection. Faces, landscapes, everyday gestures and fragments of existence resurface like intermittent apparitions, crossing the present through light and movement.

The dance develops in dialogue with the very fragility of film itself: dissolves, imperfections, burns, voids and suspensions become integral elements of the scenic writing. The performing body inhabits the same condition as the archived images — an unstable and vulnerable presence, continuously suspended between permanence and disappearance.

Still thus creates immersive spaces devoted to perception and memory, where the audience is invited not simply to observe, but to enter into an experience that traverses time, absence and transformation.
