BIANCA MANGELLI + FRANCESCO ROMAGNOLI
LAFINECHECAMMINA
AWARD WINNING PROJECT OF
PERMUTAZIONI 2025
LaFineCheCammina explores an intimate encounter between two characters. A woman is pursued by an ambiguous figure, embodied in a male presence. Through a stripped-down gestural vocabulary and an almost two-dimensional choreography, the work seeks to expose the disturbing lightness with which violence and manipulation can inhabit our inner spaces. On stage, the two performers reveal how, within solitude, every gesture we perceive as our own is nonetheless the trace of a relationship with the Other.
Bianca and Francesco met during Le Parole del Corpo, an advanced training programme promoted by ERT and led by Michela Lucenti, where they decided to begin a shared path of artistic research. Both are performers with a predominantly dance-based background: Francesco graduated in Contemporary Dance from the AFAM programme at the Paolo Grassi Academy in Milan; Bianca began her training in classical, modern, and contemporary dance, later expanding her practice through various movement languages, including the folk dances of Southern Italy.
They share a strong interest in European dance-theatre and physical theatre, and have also pursued acting and vocal training, firmly believing in multidisciplinarity and in the hybridisation of performative languages. Through their work, they investigate danced gesture as a point of contact between the visible—the body—and the invisible—the traces and signs that inhabit it—mapping the geography of a body shaped and populated by its relationships.
