Cantieri is an advanced professional-development project for performing-arts practitioners, conceived by Cuochilab / Play with Food and Casa Fools. Created to support the artistic and professional growth of artists and sector professionals, it offers free opportunities for in-depth learning, exchange and experimentation through masterclasses, workshops and meetings with leading figures from the Italian and international scenes.

Within the programme, Zerogrammi curates an event dedicated to contemporary dance, developed in dialogue with Inventario, its own professional-development programme. In recent years, the programme has hosted key figures of the international scene, including Rita Petrone (2024) and Carolyn Carlson (2025), giving participants the opportunity to engage with diverse artistic practices, movement poetics and approaches to transmission.

More than a training programme, Cantieri is a meeting space for artists, organisers, curators and cultural practitioners: an ongoing laboratory in which to share skills, build professional networks and imagine new perspectives for contemporary performing arts.
