*Andavamo tutti* is a choreographic and human research project that questions the idea of collectivity, belonging, and shared traversal. An investigation of the “we” as a fragile and ever-changing space, constructed through bodies, relationships, and memories that meet and mutually transform one another.
The project originates as a practice of listening and proximity, attempting to observe what holds a community together and what inevitably causes it to disperse.
The title originates from the poetic work of Giancarlo Majorino and already contains within itself a collective tension: a shared movement, a common going that holds together proximity, loss, desire, and transformation.
The research moves around the idea of the plurality of body and memory, observing the group not as a uniform mass but as a constellation of fragilities, differences, and individual traversals.
The project’s imagery is nourished by biographical stories, poetic materials, personal memories, and human landscapes gathered throughout the process. The body is observed as an emotional archive and a political space, capable of preserving traces of belonging, absence, and the desire for relationship.
A significant part of the research emerges from encounters with elderly people and with contexts connected to memory, roots, and the narration of lived experience. Listening thus becomes a central practice of the project — not as documentary collection, but as a possibility for constructing proximity and presence.
Andavamo tutti develops through an open process of residencies, workshops, listening practices, and territorial traversals. The choreographic creation is progressively built in relation to the encounters generated by the project, allowing the collected experiences to transform the very direction of the research.
The work intertwines professional performers, participatory practices, and moments of exchange with different communities, maintaining a strong permeability between artistic dimension and relational dimension.
The project moves through theatrical spaces, places of proximity, and contexts dedicated to care and memory, developing a reflection on time, ageing, and the possibility of constructing new collective imaginaries.
Rather than producing a single definitive form, Andavamo tutti takes shape as a continuously transforming poetic platform, capable of generating different performative, workshop-based, and community configurations.
