A PERFORMANCE, A DOCUFILM

  • The project takes shape from the symbolic universe of play and sport, viewed not only as competitive practice but as a social and cultural device capable of constructing identities, rules, hierarchies and forms of belonging.

    Fuorigioco uses the body as a tool for relationship and negotiation, questioning what happens when an individual enters into—or falls outside—the shared rules of a community. The title itself evokes an unstable threshold between inclusion and exclusion, participation and marginality.

    The project’s imagery is nourished by collective dynamics, athletic gestures, social rituals and the emotional tensions associated with the desire to belong to a group. Its playful dimension coexists with a broader reflection on the construction of human relationships, individual vulnerabilities and the possibility of continually redefining the rules by which we live together.

  • Fuorigioco has developed through workshop-based practices, participatory processes and performative formats that bring movement, listening and collective interaction into dialogue.

    The project favours experiences built through direct dialogue with participants, allowing the creative process to emerge from the relationship between bodies, group dynamics and the shared traversal of space.

    The research moves between performance and social practice, retaining a strong capacity to adapt to its host contexts and the communities involved. Over time, the project can generate new configurations, educational practices and participatory trajectories dedicated to relationship, cooperation and inclusion.

*Fuorigioco* is a research project dedicated to the relationship between body, rule, and collectivity. A poetic and physical exploration of the dynamics that define belonging, exclusion, competition, and cooperation within human groups.

Through the language of movement and play, the project questions the mechanisms that govern relationships, transforming the performative space into a terrain of encounter, tension, and shared possibility.
